Happy Friday and Happy Chinese New Year! Although I have no bloodline tracing back to China I embrace a chance for a fresh start. CNY is traditionally a time to cleanse the home, sweeping away any ill-fortune and making room for incoming good luck. My friend was recently telling me about a 40 day challenge to clean and fill a bag with unneeded “stuff” for 40 days. I thought CNY would be the perfect time to start such a challenge and am really excited about purging some clutter! I must admit, 40 day seems like a bit much for me and since I’m a fan of SMART goals, I’m aiming for 4 days a week. I think I can get quite a bit accomplished! I’m looking to declutter physical areas like our kitchen cabinets as well as computer files, time to do some editing! I like goals broken up into small pieces and one bag per day seems manageable to me. Last night I started with my jewelry box and weeded out some pieces I haven’t worn in years and know I won’t miss. Done! My 1st bag I can donate to a thrift store and feel good about the new space in my jewelry box. I’m excited to rid our home of the clutter and make room for Good Fortune♥
