Yesterday I decided to do something I had been thinking about for a while, I went to an animal shelter and volunteered to walk a dog. I love all animals from rabbits to elephants to pandas and think humans can learn a lot from their kind, loving nature. The dog that I walked was a cocker spaniel mix and soooo excited to be out and about. We went to a nearby park and spent an hour exploring and just having fun. When I sat down for a moment she jumped in my lap and was so grateful for the attention I gave her. I wish I could save all the discarded pets and give them the loving homes they deserve! Knowing that I at least made this one dog’s afternoon fun was a good feeling. It was truly a great time and something I look forward to doing again.
