One of the perks of my job is working with creative people who like to plan parties. This week we put together a small baby shower for a coworker and it all came together beautifully. The theme was woodland creatures and based on a few shared images we all brought something to the table. The new mommy loves lemon bundt cake so I picked one up from her favorite bakery and made a themed cake topper with printed paper, craft twine, and wooden skewers. It was just the kind of small fun project I like. There were creative banners, pine cone centerpieces and an over the top diaper cake. Of course the real scene stealer was the blue velvet cake with the most adorable animals all around the sides, we couldn’t get enough! cake from Great Dane Bakery
