This weekend I was catching up on my magazines and read a quote from an editor that made me cringe, “I’ve been using the same moisturizer since my teens.” Sorry to break the bad news…BUT the simple lotion that hydrated your skin at age 16 is not doing you justice 10 years later. The simple fact is that your skin ages regardless of how well you pamper it and along with age comes different needs. Once you are in your twenties, and certainly your thirties, you should be using a moisturizer with antioxidants (at the very least) to help repair damage from sun, pollution, and stress. And for goodness sake choose a moisturizer with sunscreen! I don’t know why they make options without sunscreen. You should be wearing it daily to prevent sun damage. Here is a sampling of great moisturizers that contain antioxidants, soothing agents, and cell communicating ingredients that help your skin repair itself and improve texture. Now apply daily!
