Today’s featured friend is actually a dynamic duo. A super fun husband and wife team, that I have known for many years. Boris and Rachel launched their auto parts business from their living room and have expanded over five years to three buildings and a team of 20. As an avid car collector, Boris was one of the first to purchase a Smart Car in the US. After driving his newly acquired toy, he quickly saw the opportunity for an accessory store for this unique car. Coincidentally, Rachel had been part of a focus group for Smart years before and also had a soft spot for the fun little car. Together, they teamed up and opened Smart Madness with the mission to offer the auto community a one stop shop to customize your ride along with unparalleled customer service. The business was so well received they added 500 Madness when the Fiat 500 was launched 2 years ago, offering custom parts and service for the Fiat as well.                                                             Today, they also operate as Madness Autoworks and by popular demand,will work on any car their customers want to customize. They attribute their success to their humble attitude and commitment to treating their customers like family. When asked, their biggest reward is building a business in a downturn economy and creating jobs in their community. I know they have worked very hard to get where they are but have had fun along the way. Another great story that says “follow your dream” ♥
