This weekend I was inspired to step out of my world of familiar places and try a new restaurant in downtown LA. I don’t travel there too often and was quickly reminded that new experiences can be very rewarding. I was completely smitten with Bottega Louie Restaurant & Patisserie. With an 18th century Italian style hostess table, gold leaf on their dessert, and silk ribbons on their boxes, I was instantly in love. So happy to see a Bellini on their cocktail menu I indulged while waiting for a table. I had the bibb lettuce salad which was perfect and for dessert the beignet plate that was truly amazing with fresh raspberry purée. Honestly all the food around me looked incredible and I can’t wait to go back! I haven’t even mentioned the pastry shop because they are no words, seriously you have to see for yourself. It’s like Willy Wonka for grown-ups.
