This weekend I went to a great birthday party and was introduced to the “Birthday Cake” shot. Now I long ago gave up drinking shots but in the spirit of celebrating my friend and joining the group, I did try this drink. Let me tell you it was one of the best shots I have ever had. Surprisingly it’s tasted just like cake, no kidding. It was actually really good. I don’t normally recommend drinking shots of alcohol but I will say if you are going to partake this recipe deserves a try. It’s very easy to make with only two ingredients, 1/2 part vodka, 1/2 part hazelnut liqueur. The most important part is that you follow with a bite of lemon wedge. It sounds crazy, but somehow it all works together and is amazing.
