Thankfully my arm is 90% better as I couldn’t wait to share this New Hampshire artist I discovered. Evon Cassier recycles old coats and hand sews them into these amazing bags. From biochemist to homemaker to handbag designer, her passion of rescuing the discarded morphed into a full-time business when she made a tote bag from a men’s old sport coat. She loved it so much she started making more from found items at thrift stores and her line grew. She loves custom orders and will transform a sentimental garment that is no longer functional into a working bag with a new life. Genius! I love this concept, so clever. I love that Evon makes these all herself with close attention to detail and craftsmanship. Just as anything sentimental should be.
