I have always loved doodling and coloring even though I’m not great at drawing freehand. With the rise in popularity of chalkboard walls, I was inspired to paint one in our home. A chalkboard is perfect for me because if I mess up, I simply erase! So easy. My husband helped me paint a wall in our kitchen and it was actually fun. We bought the paint at Home Depot, cleaned the wall, and painted on two coats of paint. It took an afternoon and was ready the next day. I have to say we both love drawing on a whim and the ease of erasing and starting over. There is something liberating about drawing on the wall! Sometimes I plan ahead like in the above photo and sometimes it’s just whatever.
