Play Time…

Rosie Flo's Sticky Coloring BookI am a big believer in having balance in life and that includes play time! Happiness experts agree that 40% of an individual’s happiness is up to the individual and how they spend their time. People who regularly engage in activities that bring them pleasure, who participate in play time, are happier, healthier people. It can be gardening, cooking, exercising, designing…whatever you have fun doing and makes you forget any stress you are carrying. One of may favorite things is to draw and decorate and I love this coloring book by Rosie Flo. It is so cleverly designed with stickers to match each drawings theme. I highly recommend for kids and adults alike. My husband loves music and plays his keyboard regularly. He has fun creating new sounds and making up entire songs. Together, we like to play a game called Mancala that has been around for centuries. There are many variations but in general is played by moving beads around a board and capturing your opponents beads. Play time is something we really enjoy!Yamaha KeyboardMancala

I agree totally about the importance and value of lots of play time. And hey, we would love to learn how to play Mancala. Can four play?

  2. Great post and I agree 100%! There’s a quote from Patricia Love that reads “Sometimes you have to talk to a 2 year old just to understand life again.” that resonates with me. Adults lose much of the joy in life and forget how awesome it truly is. Play time is good.
