Recently at a craft fair I was inspired to make a holiday banner. There was a woman selling hand-made ones that were very pretty and reasonable priced, but I thought the fun of making it would add to the value. I selected a variety of decorative paper at Michael’s and with the help of my husband and mother, cut out dozens of triangles. My mom and I glued them together, punched holes, and tied each one together with twine for a homespun look. I bought gold sparkly letters on Etsy, from Close Out Girl, that we glued on with a hot glue gun. Overall… an easy, fun project that turned out just how I imagined. More important are the memories I’ll have of making something special together with my mom and hubby. Every time I admire our banner, I’ll remember!
