Every year as Thanksgiving approaches I kick myself for waiting a whole year to cook some of my favorite dishes. Last year I discovered a twist on the 1950’s green bean casserole that was delish and I can’t wait to make again. Martha Stewart has an updated fresh approach that is perfect for taste, nutriton, and eating local grown vegetables. No canned anything, just fresh produce and some prep time. As with many dishes, this is best made the night before and reheated before serving. It tastes amazing and is a great improvement to an old classic. This year I vow to make this all winter!
